Drury Precision has always had some machining facilities for our own in-house requirements but had never offered machining as a service.
When we developed our own product range of after-market accessories for motorcycles (please have a look at our website www.evotech-performance.co.uk) it provided the stimulus for us to acquire some sophisticated CNC machine tools.
Machined parts that had previously been sub-contracted to machine shops are now made in-house and subject to our own quality standards.
This facility has allowed us to provide another complete solution for our customers, making all of the machined parts associated with their sheet metal jobs. Customers who depend upon the quality of our sheet metal work are naturally pleased to get the same high standards in machined parts, from one source.
More recently, we have undertaken machining work as a stand-alone service where the quality of our equipment is reflected in the quality of our work.
The principal production machines are:
- A Doosan Puma 2000SY turning/milling centre. With 5 axes and sub-spindle, complex parts can be turned, drilled and milled without the need for secondary operations.
- Hurco VMX42 3 axis vertical machining centre with an integrated 4th rotary axis which can be mounted onto the bed.
- Hurco VMI 3 axis vertical machining centre, a compact and versatile machine.
